Artificial Grass: Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT MAINTENANCE WILL THE TURF NEED?
The only maintenance required is the removal of debris; this can be done using a leaf blower of stiff brush.
WHERE CAN THE GRASS BE USED?
Anywhere! Lawns, patios, roof gardens, terraces, balconies, children’s play areas, around swimming pools & hot tubs, conservatories, exhibitions, shows, films sets and more!
WILL WEEDS GROW THROUGH THE TURF?
No. Our installation process ensures that weeds will not grow through due to the two membranes we lay during the fitting.
DOES WATER STAY ON THE SURFACE OF THE GRASS, OR DOES IT DRAIN THROUGH?
Water drains through the grass via holes in the latex backing.
WILL THE GRASS FADE?
Our grass artificial grass is protected against sunlight and UV rays so it does not fade. During the manufacturing process the grass is UV stabilized which will ensure that fading does not occur.
CAN MY GRASS BE DAMAGED BY MY PETS
One of the biggest concerns pet owners have about artificial grass for dogs is whether dog faeces and urine will damage a fake lawn. They are sceptical that artificial grass can cope with all that nature throws at it. Well, unlike real turf, artificial grass won’t die when a dog pees on it. Dog urine drains away, just like rain, so you won’t end up staring out at a yellow sea. Dog faeces will need to be cleaned up, just as you would on a real lawn. Simply scoop the mess up and hose the area down to remove any residual grains.
HOW SOON AFTER INSTALLATION CAN I WALK ON THE GRASS?
We recommend giving your grass a full 24 hours before use to allow any adhesive used in the joins to set. If you do not allow this time then there is a chance the grass will shift before it has settled, which is not ideal! We encourage you to stop children or pets using the area until the following day.
